Safe Technician

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Safe Technician/Locksmith to join our team in Syracuse, NY. This full-time role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of safes, vaults, and locking mechanisms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of technical expertise, a commitment to customer service, and a thorough understanding of both mechanical and electronic locking systems. As a Safe Technician/Locksmith, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and functionality of our clients’ locking systems while adhering to industry regulations and standards.

  • Installation and Repair: Install, service, and repair mechanical and electronic locking devices on doors, safes, and vaults.
  • Combination Changes: Change safe combinations, rekey locks, and upgrade lock mechanisms as required.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and other service activities for tracking and compliance purposes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant security regulations and industry standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Safe Technician or Locksmith with a strong background in both mechanical and electronic locking systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safe and vault mechanics, electronic locks, and security principles.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using locksmith tools, diagnostic equipment, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle various tasks simultaneously.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification or specialized training in locksmithing is preferred, with willingness to provide training for the right candidate.
  • License: New York State Driver’s License Required.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy objects, typically up to 50 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in diverse environments.

Security Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Security Technician to join our team in Syracuse, NY. This full-time role involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of alarm systems, access control systems, and video surveillance systems for commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with hands-on experience in managing complex security systems and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. As an Electronics Security Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of various security technologies while collaborating with other professionals to achieve project goals.

  • System Installation: Install, configure, and program alarm systems, access control systems, and video surveillance systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with existing security systems, including both hardware and software components, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on security systems to uphold their reliability and efficiency.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and team members to coordinate installation projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Client Support: Provide comprehensive training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of installed security systems.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics, security systems, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in installing and servicing various security systems, including alarms, access control, and video surveillance systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of security system components.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • License: Valid NY driver's license with a clean driving record. NICET Level 1 fire alarm certification a plus.
